The latest realisation in Research & Engineering involves the cooling of deionised water for the testing equipment of IGBTs, insulated gate bipolar transistors, used for high power applications, mounted inside NPC power converters (Neutral Point Clamped multilevel inverters).
The design specifications called for a water-to-water cooling unit, on the two primary and secondary circuits, with a power capacity of 40 kW.
