Pursuant to art. 13 of the GDPR, the Company provides the following information relating to cookies installed on its domain (hereinafter: Site) or from other domains accessible through the Site.

What are cookies?

Cookies are text strings created by a server and stored on the hard disk of the computer or on any device used by the User to access the Internet (smartphone, tablet), to then be retransmitted when the User subsequently accesses the Internet.

Cookies allow us to collect information on the navigation of the Website by the User.

Cookies can be stored permanently on the User’s computer for a variable amount of time (so-called persistent cookies), but they can also disappear when the browser is closed or have a limited duration (so-called session cookies).

Cookies may be installed by the Site you are visiting (so-called first-party cookies) or may be installed by other websites (so-called third-party cookies) and are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of information regarding the activities of users accessing a site.
According to their purpose, cookies are divided as follows:

  • Browser and functionality cookies: used respectively for purposes of authentication and improvement of the User experience (for example storing language preferences);

  • Analytical cookies: used by the Site administrator to collect information on users who visit the Site (for example pages visited, length of visit, number of visitors);

  • Profiling cookies: used for advertising purposes to send messages in line with the preferences of users gathered while surfing the net;

  • Social cookies: used to allow interaction with social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and to share the contents of the Site through social networks.

According to the legislation in force in Italy, explicit acceptance of cookies by the User if they are identified as technical, that is aimed exclusively at the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, is not required.

The General Decree “Identification of the simplified procedures for the notice and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014” issued by the Data Protection Authority defines the following cookies as technical:

  • browser cookies that guarantee the normal navigation and use of the Site;

  • analytical cookies when used directly by the Site administrator to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of users and how they visit the Site;

  • functionality cookies that allow the User to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

Disclosing personal data to third parties other than the Data Controller and Data Processors – inside or outside the Company – identified and appointed pursuant to art. 24 and 28 of the GDPR is foreseen where necessary.

In any case, processing by third parties will be carried out in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, proportionality and necessity as well as the current provisions of law.

The data collected with the use of cookies may be processed by employees and collaborators of the Company, in their capacity as subjects authorised and data processors.

These data may also be processed by companies trusted by the Company, which perform technical and organisational tasks on its behalf. These companies are direct collaborators of the Company and act as the Data Processor.

In particular, as part of the processing of data carried out through the Site, the external Data Processor (who takes care of the Site’s management and maintenance service) is appointed as follows:

The rights

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to art. 13, para. 2, point b) of the GDPR, in relation to processing of the personal data referred to herein and in order to ensure fair, transparent processing, the following rights may be exercised:

1. Right to information and access (pursuant to art. 15 of the GDPR): in order to obtain information from the Data Controller on whether your personal data is being processed or not; on the access to your personal data and to details on the purposes of processing; on the recipients or the categories of recipients data are transmitted to.

2. Right to rectification (pursuant to art. 16 of the GDPR), Right to erasure (pursuant to art. 17 of the GDPR) and Right to restriction of processing (pursuant to art. 18 of the GDPR): in order to ask the Data Controller to rectify, erase your personal data and restrict processing.

3. Right to data portability (pursuant to art. 20 of the GDPR): in order to gain access to your personal data, that was provided to the Controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; and you are entitled to transmit said data to another Data Controller, provided that this operation is technically feasible.

4. Right to object (pursuant to art. 21 of the GDPR): in order to object to the processing of your data.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

Pursuant to art. 13, para. 2, point d) of the GDPR, the Data Subject is also entitled to lodge a claim with the supervisory authority pursuant to art. 77 of the GDPR, if data processing is deemed to infringe the European Regulation provisions.
